DEVELOPING DIFFERENCE MAKERS

The mission of Life School is to develop leaders with life skills through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community.

That’s why Life School recognizes that every child has a wealth of untapped possibilities. Identifying unique potential and pairing it with quality education, our students are well-equipped and empowered for their future success.

Offering dynamic programs from grades K-5, Life School participates in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) in academics and fine arts. Not only does Life School's curriculum support collaboration, dedication, and leadership, but it also encourages parent involvement throughout each child's schooling experience.

We are a tuition-free public charter school open to all students. Like traditional ISDs, public charter schools are monitored and accredited under the statewide testing and accountability systems.

Life School not only strengthens students in the classroom but also prepares them for life.

It's not just school. It's LIFE.

Principal's Message Image

Principal's Message

My name is Jennifer Villavaso and I’m honored to be the principal of Life School Carrollton. I’m coming to Life School with 14 years of educational experience and have served in the roles of high school mathematics teacher, an instructional coach, assistant principal, and now Principal. I’ve spent 10 years of those 14 right here in Carrollton, so I’m excited to be returning to serve this community once again.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2004. After teaching high school mathematics for 8 years, I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas at Arlington in 2012.

I love to learn and aim to continuously grow as a professional. In the same respect, one of my greatest passions is growing others, both students and staff. Life School Carrollton aims to be a collaborative environment filled with educators who are focused on student success and developing the whole student to be a lifelong learner. Ready to Lead! Ready to Learn! Ready for Life! We are a campus that will work hard, but will also enjoy our colleagues’ comradery.

To me it’s all about finding the right fit and being the right fit is being a passionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, and growth-orientated individual. I seek to bring the very best to our families and students we serve.
